I take the pieces out of the workshop to compare the volume and the numerical line. The objective is to give you a glimpse of the possible tattoo projections to be made, explain the creative process and show you what materialized in reality.
What I present:
The Masks, My major pieces, Kijin, Kitsune and Oni. Work on relief, textures and organic patinas.
Original drawings Two creations in Indian ink and watercolor ink coated on Arch Paper. Designed to be worn on a full arm mixing graphic abstraction, Japanese culture and pure black.
Digital Paintings, four compositions including two thought of as complete back projects, where contrast and movement define the structure:
Kijin (Without horns): A study centered on the pure expression of the face, stripped of its classic attributes to keep only the intensity of the gaze, the shadows and the contrasts supported by a floral and abstract composition.
Oni: A massive composition playing on the power of blacks and the dynamics of shapes to dress the entire back, with research into the symbolism and attribute of objects.
Chrysanthemums & Abstraction: A work on balance, where flowers blend into a deep black gradient, seeking a natural fusion between pattern and emptiness.
Hyottoko Mask: Composition mixing both Japanese culture in its neo-traditional form and a neo-traditional Western oriented representation, symbolizing my passion for these two pillars of tattooing.
